PRESS RELEASE

Dead Town Revival will be performing songs from their new album “Hasta La Muerte” (Sinister Muse Records, 2007) on July 3rd at Summerfest as part of the Emerging Artists Series sponsored by US Cellular, Motorola, 102.1 WLUM and Leinenkugel’s Beer. They perform on the US Cellular Connections stage at 5:30pm.

Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is the World’s Biggest Music Festival. Each year, more than one million attendees drink beer, eat fried egg plant, and generally whoop it up at this 11-day event. Featuring both top name entertainers and up and coming artists on 13 stages, Summerfest also offers children’s activities, amusement park rides, water shows, and shopping. Other artists performing this year include Sum 41, Rise Against, Local H, Roger Waters, Social Distortion, Spoon, Sevendust, Dashboard Confessional, Panic at the Disco, and many more.

Hailing from the working class streets of the south side of Chicago, Dead Town Revival is a self-described “punk-n-roll” band with a wide ranging list of influences from punk staples such as the Misfits and Social Distortion to rock legends Led Zeppelin and country hero Johnny Cash. Dead Town Revival’s driving melodic music speaks of love lost, hard luck and a complete disdain for authority. It’s like a punch in the face for the person who enjoys pain. Formed from the ashes of several Chicago bands and the range of musical influences of the band members has created a unique sound that stays rooted in the undeniable ‘Chicago punk sound’.
