(For immediate release) September 12 – The organizers behind the annual punk rock festival, Riot Fest, have announced the 2007 lineup, which will take place November 17-18 at the Congress Theatre (2135 North Milwaukee Avenue) in Chicago, Illinois.
Following is the confirmed lineup for Riot Fest 2007:
Saturday, November 17: Naked Raygun, Stiff Little Fingers, 7Seconds, Nekromantix, The Queers, Lower Class Brats, The Methadones, Shot Baker, The Heart Attacks, The Copyrights
Sunday, November 18: Bad Brains, The Casualties, Dillinger Four, The Bollweevils, Youth Brigade, Zero to Sixty (Denis and Dan of 88 Fingers Louie), Flatfoot 56, Deal’s Gone Bad, The Frantic

A portion of the proceeds from Riot Fest 2007 ticket sales will go to benefit John Stabb and J. Robbins, both of Government Issue. Stabb was recently attacked by a group of teenagers only blocks from his home. The attack left Stabb needing facial reconstruction surgery, subsequently leaving large medical bills that were not covered by insurance.
Moreover, J. Robbins and his wife, Janet, recently gave birth to their first child Callum. Several months after his birth, Callum was diagnosed with a genetic motor neuron disease called Type 1 SMA, or Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Type 1 SMA is usually fatal. Those infants who survive into childhood are in for a long road of occupational therapy, wheelchairs, and assistive devices.
Several signed guitars (signed by all RF2007 bands) will be raffled as well, and all of those proceeds will go to benefit Stabb and Robbins.
A specially-priced block of Riot Fest 2007 pre-sale of tickets will occur Sept. 13 at 8 a.m. CST on www.indietickets.com, and will last until the block is sold out. Also, as an added bonus, Naked Raygun’s What Poor Gods We Do Make will be available for pre-sale orders when purchasing these special tickets from www.indietickets.com.
General sale tickets will occur on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 12 p.m. CST on www.ticketmaster.com and at all Ticketmaster locations. Doors open each day for Riot Fest 2007 at 1:30 p.m.
